Eidos Talks 25 to Life Controversy

I forgot to mention yesterday when I talked about the story on Hot Coffee I wrote for the Rocky Mountain News, that I also did a sidebar about 25 to Life and its mini-controversy. More »

Rockstar Faces Two Class Action Lawsuits

I wrote earlier this week about the grandma who decided to sue Rockstar after discovering dry-humping mixed in with GTA s deliciously violent content in the game she bought for her 14-year-old grandson. More »

Rocky on Rockstar

I wrote up a little summary of the Hot Coffee donnybrook for the Rocky Mountain News. It was due a week before it ran, so it was a bit of fun trying to write something in the middle of the turmoil that was supposed to be forward looking. More »

Richard Simmons = Mr. Tingle?

Richard Simmons as Mr. Tingle? As appropriate as that might be, I sure hope it's some sort of joke. The last thing I want is Link aerobicizing his way through the Twilight Princess. More »

Week in Games: So This is an Intern's Goodbye

Well faithful readers, my time here as an Intern at the Kotaku Ranch has come to an end. We've made some great memories, you and I. Like when you would read my posts, think they were Brian's and sent him belligerent emails. That's something I'll never forget. I want to quickly thank Brian for putting up with me this long. Without his editing my obtuse humor would flop at your feet like a carp out of water. So while I pack my "bags," delete my shortcuts, and rep my boy Saskrotch (a breaks artist who delves into Nintendo's past), enjoy my favorite stories of this past week. Hope you read me somewhere soon! More »

Battlefield 2 Editor Leaked

Poor Electronic Arts. They've already had a little bit of a problem with their fantastically popular Battlefield 2 PC game. Now the modding community has screwed them, and if you can't trust modders who can you trust? More »

HBO Does PSP

HBO Video will be coming out with PSP format mini-discs in the near future. As exciting as that sounds, the line-up so far is borderline crap. The first PSP title will be Da Ali G Show: Da Compleet Second Seazon on Sept. 13. That will be followed by Entourage: The Complete First Season, Todd McFarlane's Spawn 1, Chris Rock: Bigger & Blacker and Chris Rock: Never Scared. More »

PSP Upgrade Sony Doesn't Want You to Have

Even if Sony is your best friend in the whole world (with pinkie swears and all that), this might make you suspicious. On the Japanese firmware 2.0 upgrade website there is a warning that the update is for Japanese PSPs only. Why is that? The site never specifies. More »

Legend of Zelda and the Lampshade of No Real Significance

The Legend of Zelda: The lampshade of no real significance is a new flash RPG over on Newsgrounds. While not particularly, fun to play or really funny it's actually, that's all I have to say about it. It does have a great title though, don't ya think? More »

Black & White Three through Five?

1Up's Jane Pinckard recently interviewed famed developer and braggart Peter Molyneux about his future plans. The man behind Fable mentioned that he still plans to develop three more Black & White titles. Each game will be set a thousand year's apart in the franchise' history with number five taking place in modern time. Judging by Molyneux's past experience at predicting the details of his own games, there will be one more B&W and it will take place about two years after number two and won't be released until 2050. Madden Blog Launches

Electronic Arts has launched a Madden blog. The Madden NFL 06 Blog is going to be updated by Marcus Stephenson of MaddenMania.com. NOthing against Marcus, but it's too bad they didn't get a developer or even The Madden himself to update the blog, that would have been pretty damn cool. More »

80s Music Hits Namco Game

I was already interested in Namco Museum: 50th Anniversary Arcade Collection, but now it's a must buy. I hope they ship it with a pair of black parachute pants. More »
