Princess Peach Defends Her Womanhood
The posable Princess Peach dropped a note to ask for commenting privilege on Kotaku and point out that she is, in fact, not a man. Turn's out she's not just a COS player willing to make a buck with non-sultry poses either, she also runs a Princess Peach fan site.I never doubted you Peach, never. More »

Nielsen Interactive Entertainment is looking for some current and former LA-based Star Wars Galaxies players to talk to. The Mario Opera has been around since last year, but I didn't hear of it until today, so I figured it's worth mentioning. The rock opera was created by Jonathan Mann and first performed at the California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clarita in May, 2005. More »Marc Ecko Interviewed, Calls Gamers "Pissy"

Flash
The Hills Have Eyes Promo Game
Why Hollywood feels it necessary to recreate The Hills Have Eyes is beyond me, but I suppose it is inevitable. The website to promote the movie has a flash game that delivers the sort of sub par, flat experience I fully expect the movie to bask in. Check it out if you want a taste of what the movie has in store for you: no plot and endless roaming through darkened tunnels punctuated by the occasional scare. More »

Think The Ring meets Nightmare on Elm Street mashed with your PS2 and some mouthy hipsters from Xbox Live. Hey, Hollywood, way to shoehorn gaming into some trite plot! The trailer for the upcoming gamesploitation film Stay Alive is online. The movie, set to hit theaters this spring, follows a group of teens as they (and I quote) "find themselves in possession of Stay Alive, a next generation horror survival video game based on the spine-chilling true story of a 17th century noblewoman known as 'The Blood Countess.'" Ya lost me at "spine-chilling," but whatever. The movie stars Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle) and Brian Crecente (pictured). More »

Spore
Spore Heading to Handhelds
Electronic Arts' Spore team is looking for an "experienced designer that will be responsible for designing, creating and maintaining game systems and content for SPORE Handheld titles." Notice that "s" on the end of the word title? So, you would think that someone as creative as Will Wright would be all over the Nintendo DS, and EA is all about cross-platform, so expect a Playstation Portable version. The fact that the experience they are looking for includes Java leads me to believe that we may even be in store for cell phone versions. More »Possibly Lewd London PSP Ad... Not Sure
At Leicester Square, Kotakuite Grey Fox came across this PSP advert. Our reader was clueless as to what it is referring to, but thought it seemed slightly, yer perplexingly, offensive. Thoughts, comments and explanations from the peanut gallery welcomed. More »
